1883. Without "CENTS". PCGS graded Proof 67. CAC Approved. This gorgeous Superb Gem reveals abundant multicolored iridescence throughout, especially as the coin rotates under a light. As dictated by the Superb grade rating, both sides are equally attractive, their surfaces deeply reflective in finish and free of any detracting blemishes. Fully struck, and very impressive indeed. Pop 5; 1 finer in 67+. (PCGS # 3878) .

1897. NGC graded Proof 66 Cameo. An extraordinary Gem in all respects, the reflective luster is bold and unyielding, while frosty original highlights blossom on both sides. The strike is bold, indeed, as bold as ever seen on virtually any date in the Liberty nickel series, and some handsome golden toning is seen over each side. Pop 17; 13 finer (PCGS # 83895) .

A popular branch mint issue, the 1912-D Liberty nickel is also a conditionally challenging coin that represents a particularly important find in grades at or above the MS-65 level. This beautifully toned Gem is adorned with ice-blue, reddish-gold, and nickel-gray patina. The strike is above average for the issue with only minor weakness on several of the stars and a bit on the lower left portion of the wreath. Distracting spots or other blemishes are not reported. Pop 157; 40 finer, 5 in 65+, 35 in 66 (PCGS # 3874) .
